Tierly — Privacy Policy

Tierly (“the app”) is provided by Caseteroid LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what data the app accesses and stores when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store.

What we collect

The app stores only store-level configuration, specifically:

• Your chosen discount tiers, eligible collections, and discount label — stored as a Shopify metafield owned by the app on your shop.
• A true/false “eligible” flag on each product in your selected collections — stored as a Shopify metafield owned by the app on each product.
• Your store’s subscription/billing status with this app.
• An OAuth access token used to make authorized requests to the Shopify Admin API on your store’s behalf, stored in our application database.

What we don’t collect

The app does not collect, store, or process any personal data about your customers — no names, emails, addresses, order history, or browsing behavior. The discount itself is calculated entirely within Shopify’s own checkout infrastructure (a Shopify Function); we never see individual customer carts or orders.

How we use this data

Store configuration data is used solely to run the discount you’ve configured. It is never sold, shared with third parties for marketing purposes, or used for any purpose beyond operating the app for your store.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app, we delete our stored copy of your access token and app configuration. Shopify’s own compliance webhooks (customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction) are supported as required by Shopify’s Partner Program Agreement, even though the app does not hold customer personal data to begin with.

Third parties

The app runs on Shopify’s platform and is hosted on Railway (railway.app). No data is shared with any other third party.
